Since my father, Terry Theriault, was a breeder of Mastiff’s and founder of Apple Creek Kennels I’ve been in love with the breed since I was 9 I’ve always wanted to handle the mastiffs and show and in 1990 that wish came true.
1990 under Janet Wilcox was my first MCOA National in Santa Rosa. It was my busy first year. Learning about the breed confirmation, natural breeding, whelping and raising litters. I was hooked.
In 1992 one of our home bred males finished taking BOB out of the classes over group placing mastiffs. And in 1997 I had the honor of being at the end of a lead of Middle Earth’s Aragon, Strider. This was the fist mastiff I ever did group placements with at the MCOA’s 50th national in Sacramento he was awarded first Award of Merit under the late Fred Simon. In 1998 I married and left the sport for a brief period to raise a family. In the meantime my father fell ill and passed.
Since 2017 I’ve been consistently active with the breed and showing.
I’m humbled by the invitation of the 2022 national committee asking me to step in and judge sweepstakes. It is my honor and thank you for the opportunity.
